A form of rubberised heat/noise sheild where required, a good quality underlay fitted correctly, all contribute to making a pre moulded carpet fit a whole lot nicer. Then a little bit of product on the rear fire wall to delete some drumming. No need for a custom carpet as this car is built to be driven. And driven daily. A recent build we were asked to be involved with. A recent build we were asked to be involved with. Sometimes someones, previous handy work is just not good enough. This seat should have been repaired properly or thrown out by the last trimmer that had it. Unfortunately we were unable to find a new seat in time at a cost effective price, and this seat had to be rebuilt. It all came out ok in the end and the customer was greatful. Coats Dabond outdoor thread was chosen to hold it together, due to its superior uv and non wicking qualities. As always the most trusted and best zips on the market, YKK, were installed. Australian, uv protected, bungees and rope dots by Saint marine, hold it on and secure, with stainless steel, Australian Carr fasteners fixing the bungees to the canvas. So it's becoming more common to do seat recovers right now as the old perforated leather splits and OEM leather fails. Here we have freshened up the old seats with new leather, but this time the client has decided to go without the insert perforations.
